Wildfire Hardening Job in Brentwood

This Brentwood project focused on home hardening at the roofline, targeting some of the most common and overlooked wildfire ignition points: clogged gutters, and exposed vents

We installed Class A fire-rated, stainless steel gutter guards across the property to stop debris buildup and block wind-blown embers from settling and igniting during red flag conditions. Wind-driven embers can travel long distances during a wildfire, and gutters filled with leaves and debris are a frequent point where a stray ember turns into a structure fire. Alongside the gutter guard retrofit, we installed new fascia board to waterproof the roofline and add an additional layer of protection against long-range ember spotting, and completed a vent retrofit to seal off another common entry point for embers into interior spaces.

Together, these upgrades harden some of the most vulnerable parts of the home against ember intrusion, helping protect the property during wildfire events in Los Angeles's high fire risk hillside communities.
